Job is a go! I, in my ENTIRELY UNWISE DECISION-MAKING PROCESS, applied for a part-time position at a craft store.
...Yyyyyeaaahhhh, I'll probably spend all my paychecks there. THIS IS MY OH NOES FACE. :D
We're now a four-cat household. Two sister kittens, about nine weeks old now, who we named Sugar and Spice. Pumpkin, the rescue cat we allowed into the house two months ago who may have a nervous fur-chewing habit, and our queen of the castle, Topaz, who's looked out for my man for the past seven years. All female, all the time. So far, no one's been maimed permanently and I'm grateful.
Slight rant: "Bed," he slurred. .... How do you slur that word? I've tried saying it under my breath several different ways and in different intonations, and none of 'em I'd really call a "slur." Arrrrgh.
Hurricane will not touch us, really. I'm hoping everyone else who's in Irene's path will be okay. Here, it's been overcast for two days, and it's windy enough to knock my potted impatiens over, but not a drop of rain have we seen, and the grass and plants are just crying for it. PLEASE, CLOUDS, GIVE US YOUR WETNESS.
