KnitMo -- COMPLETED!
Nov. 30th, 2011 02:18 pmOMG, you all have no idea how happy I am right now! I *just* finished my TWELFTH pair of knitted/crocheted ... thingies. You can call 'em fingerless gloves, muffatees, wristies, hand warmers, whatevers! I FINISHED THEM!
Brief recap: I gave myself a KnitMo instead of a NaNo for November, because -- well, let's face it, I really don't write. Not well, and not often, and I realize it. Don't get me wrong, I *adore* the fandoms I'm in, and try my best to read everything, but ... yeah. Not so much with the getting-myself-out-there-ness. So instead I aimed for twelve pairs of fingerless gloves during the month, which averaged out to just under one glove every single day.
And I did it!
Okay, last update gave you pictures for five of the six I'd completed. (This is the pair I'd done and not gotten photographed in time. AIN'T SHE PURDY?!)
Pair seven: short, black, plain. Made for a male coworker, no photo available.
Pair eight: YELLOW! ...'Cause she asked for 'em.
Pair nine: Variegated pink to match her eventual hat and scarf. (Fuzzy picture is fuzzy, aaaaah!)
Pair ten: Braided purple which is hard to see, because I hadn't figured out my lens was dirty yet.
Pair eleven: Plain, but PRETTY! The yarn itself did the striping on this. (Bernat Mosaic, if anyone's wondering.) I love the ones that change color slowly. It actually looks artsy instead of blah because I didn't do any fancy stitches.
Pair twelve!: Blazing inferno! My second attempt with colorwork -- this one not the festive knitting, it went all the way around. The hand ended up a little tight, I think my floats weren't long enough, but. BUT! I did it, and they're done, and I COMPLETED MY KNITMO!
*collapses in a heap*
For those of you who I've promised gloves, take heart! They're still in the works, I just ... need a day or two off now. :D
