The only advice that's ever worked for me is to go do something purely for fun; set aside some time to just do something fun or silly and don't think about the big picture while you're doing it.

Wonderful advice! I spent this afternoon organizing my stash of yarn and fabric, making plans for creating things for the next year. I've got too many on-hold projects to start anything new right now. But the *ideas* I got from just looking over possibilities made me feel a lot better. In the morning I'll probably work on a hat or two.

Brain off, hands busy. It'll help.
